Eurasia Packaging Fair ended with a record number of visitors
The 29th Eurasia Packaging Fair - Istanbul, organised by Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) and RX TÜYAP at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre, witnessed a record participation. With more than 77 thousand visitors from 130 countries, the fair once again demonstrated that Istanbul is the centre of Eurasia in packaging. Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir, President of Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD), who said that the interest shown in the fair made them very happy and boosted the morale of the industry, stated 'The 29th Eurasia Packaging Fair further strengthened our belief in reaching the export target of 30 billion dollars that we set for 2030. As the packaging industry, we will continue to work and create added value for our country.'
The 29th Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair, which ranks first among the fairs organised every year in Europe, has ended. Organised by Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) in cooperation with RX TÜYAP Fuarcılık A.Ş. and with the support of Packaging Machinery Producers Association (AMD), Turkish Flexible Packaging Industry Association (FASD), Turkish Label Manufacturers Association (ESD), Turkish Carton Board Packaging Manufacturers Association (KASAD), Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MASD), Corrugated Cardboard Manufacturers Association (OMÜD) and Rigid Plastic Packaging Manufacturers Association (SEPA), more than 1,200 domestic and foreign companies and company representatives took part in the fair held between October 23-26. Organised in 16 halls, the fair broke a new record by welcoming more than 77 thousand visitors in total, with nearly 64 thousand domestic visitors as well as nearly 14 thousand international visitors from 130 countries.
A wide range of products and solutions from packaging products to packaging machinery, from food processing machinery to packaging printing and converting technologies were introduced at the fair, where numerous collaborations were concluded and many agreements were signed. The 30th Eurasia Packaging Fair will be held next year between 22-25 October 2025 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Centre.
'ISTANBUL IS THE CENTRE OF EURASIA IN PACKAGING'
Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir, President Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD), pointed out that there was great interest in the fair not only from Türkiye but also from European countries such as Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands, as well as the USA, Gulf countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Middle Eastern countries and Turkic Republics. Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir said that the interest shown to the fair made them very happy and bolstered the sector and added that they once again showed the whole world that Istanbul is the centre of Eurasia in the packaging sector.
Pointing out that the Turkish packaging industry is in a very important position in the world not only with its quality but also with its sustainability-oriented solutions and innovation capabilities, Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir expressed, 'While the collaborations and agreements concluded at the 29th Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair further increased the strength of our industry, it also strengthened our belief in reaching the export target of 30 billion dollars we set for 2030. We can say that we are already expecting many more participants from more countries to our fair, which we will organise for the 30th time on October 22-25 next year. We will continue to work and create added value for our country as a sector that generates foreign trade surplus every year by utilising the production power and advantageous geopolitical position of Türkiye.'
