Young Stars of Packaging Design Are Announced
The winners of the 'National Packaging Design Student Competition 2017' organized under the cooperation of the Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) and Reed TÜYAP were announced at 23 rd Eurasia Packaging Fair.
The winners of the 'National Packaging Design Student Competition 2017' organized under the cooperation of the Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) and Reed TÜYAP have been announced. With 18 immensely creative projects in the finale, the top three projects were from Anadolu University and Istanbul Technical University. The top three winners are granted, in addition to prize money, scholarships for the entire duration of their education. Zeki Sarıbekir, the President of ASD told that future stars were rewarded with the student contest and continued, "These young people are everything to us. They are our future. Our students showed us their dreams and they won. Our packaging design competition for students who are the future stars is important not for only students but for our entire industry and our country. We get one step closer to our goal of becoming the packaging center of Eurasia with the success of our students. Together with these young people, we will be able to increase the number of our products that have a strong competitive edge."
The prizes of the winners of the 13 th National Packaging Design Student Competition organized with the cooperation of the leader association Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) with important project under its belt for the development of packaging industry in Turkey, and Reed TÜYAP were presented at a special ceremony on 25th of October, the opening day of the 23. Eurasia Packaging Show.
They Won Both Monetory Prize and Scholarship
In the finale, 18 finalists from graphics, graphic design, industrial design of 10 Turkish universities which included Anadolu University, İstanbul Technical University, Gazi University, Yaşar University, İstanbul Medipol University, Başkent University, Bahçeşehir University, Middle East Technical University (ODTU), Bilgi University and Erciyes University were granted prizes and rewards.
The winner of the 13th National Packaging Design Student Competition won TL 5,000, the second place won TL 3,000, and the third place won TL 2,000 and three other students were awarded honorable mentions and TL 1,000 each. Furthermore all students who received an award were also granted "ASD & TÜYAP Education scholarships for the entire duration of their education. The winning projects will be on display during the show.
Their Dreams Gave Them Awards
Zeki Sarıbekir, the President of ASD said "I would like to congratulate all students who won awards at the 13th National Packaging Design Student Competition. This young generation means everything to us. They are our future. Our students showed us their dream and they won. Our packaging design competition for students who are the future stars is important not for only students but for our entire industry and our country. We get one step closer to our goal of becoming the packaging center of Eurasia with the success of our students Together with these young people, we will be able to increase the number of our product with a strong competitive edge. I would like to emphasize one more time that packaging is as important as the product it contains and it adds value to the product. The students who won prizes in this contest, if they want to, can participate to the WorldStar Student organized by the World Packaging Organization (WPO) and AsiaStar organized by the Asian Packaging Federation (APF) I have complete trust in them that our students will represent Turkey in all areas".
