18 Awards to Turkey in AsiaStar

Winners of the AsiaStar 2021 Competition where the best packaging in Asia compete are announced. In AsiaStar 2021 where 132 packaging from 14 countries compete, Turkey won a total of 18 awards.

Organized annually by Asia Packaging Federation (APF) and known as the Packaging Oscars of Asia, jury meeting of AsiaStar Competition was organized online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the competition Turkish companies received awards with 3 products while in the student category, young designers that successfully represented Turkey received 15 awards.

Turkey Continues to Rise in Packaging

In AsiaStar 2021 Competition Turkish companies received a total of 3 awards in Consumer Products category while in the AsiaStar Student Category where young designers that ranked high in the 17th National Packaging Design Student Competition, organized by ASD Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association with the contributions of Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair and in cooperation with Reed TÜYAP could enter, 15 projects received awards.

Commenting on results of the competition, Mr. Zeki Sarıbekir, President of ASD said: “We are very pleased to successfully represent our country in the international arena as Turkey packaging sector. We received 18 awards in this competition. We will continue with the competitions we organize as an association to introduce the Turkish Packaging Sector to the world and ensure our young expands abroad. The rise in packaging sector will continue. I would like to congratulate our companies and young designers that received awards in the competition.”

European Parliament Members Adopt New EU Carbon Removal Certification Scheme

The new European Union Carbon Certification System, developed to assess the effectiveness, transparency, and sustainability of carbon reduction projects and various technologies removing carbon from the atmosphere, was approved by the European Parliament in April 2024. This certification scheme aims to bolster the EU's efforts to meet its carbon emission reduction targets. It includes a comprehensive audit and certification process that covers all participants and stakeholders from the start to the end of carbon reduction projects.

WPO and UNIDO Project in Mongolia

APF's 2022 Strategic Planning Meeting Performed Online

ASD Packaging Academy Continues Training Online

The 2020 training program organized by the ASD Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association under the brand of ASD Packaging Academy was completed with six trainings. ASD Packaging Academy continues its 2021 training online. World Design Challenge on Sustainable Packaging Attracts

The Sustainable Packaging Design Challenge, a collaboration between WPO and WDO launched in April of this year, culminated in a series of final presentations from 7 teams on Friday, 4 June.
