National Packaging Design Student Competition

The National Packaging Design Student Competition, organized by ASD – Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association in cooperation with RX TUYAP, has been held annually since 2004 and is now celebrating its 21st edition in 2025.

The competition aims to contribute to the career development of students in the field of packaging design and to encourage the next generation of packaging professionals.

Organized each year, the competition seeks to inspire students who are receiving design education in Türkiye to explore and engage with the field of packaging design. It is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in Graphic Design, Industrial Product Design, or Industrial Design departments of universities. Students from other academic disciplines are not eligible to apply individually; however, they may participate as part of a group, provided that the team includes students from the eligible design departments.

The top three winners, as determined by a professional jury, will be awarded the “ASD & TÜYAP Scholarship” and will also receive cash prizes. In addition, all awarded students are encouraged to participate in prestigious international student competitions, including the WorldStar Student Awards, organized by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), and the AsiaStar Student Competition, organized by the Asian Packaging Federation (APF). The participation fees for these international competitions are covered by the organizers.

Since its inception, the competition has served as a strong bridge between students and the packaging industry, offering young designers a valuable opportunity to contribute their creativity to real-world applications and to gain visibility in both national and international arenas.
